Plants should not look like this.....'sheared and unnatural'

The majority of landscapes have too many plants 'per square foot' and the result is shearing, hedging, unsightly and unnatural plants.  In addition....high construction/maintenance costs, more watering and less environmentally friendly.  Other plants (like trees) are just sheared for no real reason, like shown above.

GSB chooses plants by their mature size (height and width) and spaces them accordingly in beds which are appropriately sized.  This approach allows plants to grow to their mature size and natural form with minimal maintenance.

GSB understands some clients want the 'hedge look' and we will gladly work with those clients to help develop their property.....we just want to educate folks on a different, and what GSB believes is a better way, to approach planting design

"The beauty of a plant is in it's natural form"
